Hey everybody! If you follow me on social media, you should already know that I have been making big strides to clean up my craft area. I took a good hard look at the stuff I've been collecting and decided I needed to be really honest about what I was probably not going to end up using any time soon (or at all!). So far, I have a huge grocery sack filled with fabrics, scraps, ribbon, thread, baker's twine, hole punches, etc. that needs a new home.

I decided to share it with you guys as a giveaway (I actually have enough stuff for 2-3 giveaways (I haven't even gone through my paper supply or jewelry stuff yet!). As a result, I am having a giveaway here today! One winner will be selected using the widget on the bottom of this post, the other winners will be selected from my social media fans: simply "like" the destash giveaway post on my facebook page, or retweet about the giveaway on twitter (make sure to tag @craftinomicon so I can find your entry). All of the supplies I am giving away are kept in my smoke free, pet free home. Many are in the original packaging. Fabric includes: full yardage, large scraps and fat quarters. There may even be a crafty book or two involved. I am going to be cramming flat rate boxes to the brim! Embroidery Stitch Library + A Giveaway (CLOSED)

The Embroidery Stitch Library is up and running! If you haven't already, go take a look and let me know what you think. The library will be updated frequently with not only embroidery stitches, but patterns and projects as well (so you can have some inspiration for practicing your stitches!).

Each stitch has a step by step photo tutorial, with written instructions (in English). I have tried to make the photographs easy enough to follow that you can learn a stitch from start to finish without really needing to read the whole post.

Projects in the library link back to recommended stitches, if there is a stitch you don't know you will be able to click back and learn the stitch while you make a fun new project. There are even tutorials on creating your own patterns to embroider!

Diamond Candles Giveaway (closed)

I am super excited to announce this giveaway from Diamond Candles! Diamond Candles creates great smelling all natural soy candles that each contain a surprise ring (ring values vary). I think this is such a cute idea, who doesn't love getting a surprise? The rings range in value from $10 costume jewelry up to $5000! Wouldn't it be amazing to win a candle in this giveaway and end up with a fancy new piece of jewelry to boot?

The good people at Diamond Candles offered me a candle for review and I couldn't pass up the chance. I had a hard time choosing my scent, I love the smell of baked goods (and they have a few varieties in that category), but I was also really intrigued by the Fresh Cut Grass scent. In the end, the Cupcake candle won out-- my husband is a little annoyed when I light it because it smells exactly like cupcakes (and he is sad that there are then no cupcakes in my house for him to snack on). The candle itself is larger than I originally expected (they burn for up to 140 hours!).

My candle burned for about 7 hours before I got out my surprise ring (I used a tweezers to fish it out of the wax). The rings are generally pretty high up in the candle, so you have plenty of your yummy candle left to enjoy after you get your ring. They put each ring in a plastic bag and then wrap that in foil to protect your ring. No wax coating to have to clean off the ring itself!

I ended up with this cute flower shaped cubic zirconia ring. My fingers are pretty tiny (my wedding ring is a size 5) but this one fit my pointer finger pretty well and is a neat little piece of costume jewelry.

Vintage Craft Workshop Giveaway!

As many of you may know, October is my birthday month, and to celebrate I am going to be doing a few giveaways to thank you, my loyal readers for spending time with me and my crafty endeavors.
